          <span xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">In the <span xmlns="" class="uicontrol">Annotations</span> toolbar, click <span xmlns="" class="uicontrol">Label</span>.</span>
          
        <p> A text box is created.</p></p></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><p>Click the actor to which you want to link the text box.</p></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><p>Position the text box and click to validate.</p></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><p>You can create additional labels, or exit the creation mode if you're done.<ul><li xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">To create additional labels, repeat steps 2 and 3.</li>

          Create a label as explained above.

<li class="stepexpand"><p>Click the label to select it, and choose either of the following methods:<ul><li xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Click the label again to switch it to edit mode. Type your text, and press <span xmlns="" class="uicontrol">Ctrl+Enter</span> each time you want to create a new line.</li>
<li xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">            In the Properties pane for the label, under 
<span xmlns="" class="uicontrol">Text</span>, set 
<span xmlns="" class="uicontrol">Text</span> to 
<span xmlns="" class="uicontrol">String</span>. Click in the 
<span xmlns="" class="uicontrol">Text string</span> property field, then click the ellipsis (...). 
          The 
<span xmlns="" class="wintitle">Text</span> pane appears. Type your text, and press <span xmlns="" class="uicontrol">Enter</span> each time you want to create a new line.</li>

            To add a line, drag a line from the annotation target

<li class="stepexpand"><p>To attach an annotation to 2D panels, create one of the 2D panels before creating the annotation.</p></li>

				</span> An annotation always has the same number of attach lines in all views. For example, creating a new attach line for a label in one view adds it to all views containing that label, and you must define what actor the line is attached to in each view. If you need different numbers of attach lines across views, create different annotations.</td></tr></table>
